Trans Nzoia County’s Chief of Staff, Dickson Wamocho has urged departmental heads to prioritize legal compliance and responsive service delivery. Speaking in Kitale, he emphasized the importance of following proper procedures and regulations when undertaking projects and programs.
Wamocho highlighted Governor Natembeya’s focus on launching planned projects, with tenders already advertised and awards expected soon. He stressed the need for transparent and accountable processes to ensure successful implementation.
The Director of the Governor’s Delivery Unit (GDU), Mr. Benjamin Ndiyo, emphasized the importance of even project distribution across the county, sub-counties, and wards. He noted that several initiatives aimed at empowering the local economy are in the pipeline, and their success hinges on adherence to proper procedures.


















The meeting also underscored the importance of public participation, ensuring citizens’ voices are heard, and their involvement contributes to project ownership. Director GDU Mr. Samuel Ereng reiterated the GDU’s commitment to the smooth running of projects according to plan. He clarified that the exercise is not punitive but aims to ensure transparency and accountability in line with Governor Natembeya’s manifesto. He emphasized the goal of achieving a 65% absorption rate for development funds, with a target of 80-85%.
The meeting was attended by key departmental officials, including CEC public service management Julia Kichwen, Chief officer Philip Kaptain, Human Resource Manager Madam Pamela Justina Siti, Gideon Sawa, and Phoebe Buchunju. This collaborative effort signals a commitment to improved service delivery and project implementation within Trans Nzoia County.
On the 4th day of the committee tackled the departments of Agriculture, Public Service management, governance, Economic planning and Finance.
