Residents of Hospital ward in Kiminini Sub County have a reason to celebrate as construction works progress on several crucial roads, including Iroko- Norec Road, All-saints Ragira road, St-Mary’s-road, Acquinoes-Mama Njeri road, Stage choma- Mwaniki road, and Namawanga Tarmac-T Junction Road. Led by Governor George Natembeya, these infrastructure developments are set to significantly improve connectivity and economic prospects in the region.
The ongoing grading and murraming works are expected to open up access for farmers and other local businesses, thereby enhancing market reach for farm products and stimulating economic growth. This initiative underscores the county government’s commitment to infrastructure development and supporting key sectors of the economy.
Governor George Natembeya has prioritized road construction projects across the county, with approximately 800 kilometers of county roads earmarked for upgrade. This ambitious undertaking aims to improve accessibility, promote trade, and boost socio-economic development in Trans Nzoia County.
The implementation and inspection of these road works are being diligently overseen by Dismas Matifari, representing the Department of Roads and Public Works. Matifari reiterated the department’s commitment to ensuring that the people of Trans Nzoia receive value for money through the timely completion of high-quality road infrastructure projects.
